Had an xe that was used as a commercial tow car, it towed many a briken down Commodore over the years, & never broke down itself, it only had a heater hose leak once, & an alternator fail.

The dumbest thing i ever did was buy a new vn commodore while an employee at gmh elizabeth…then selling my xe fairmont efi to a bloke u worked with. Id see that car all the time at work, & driving around the place, the vn was an absolute bucket that had problem after problem, which i traded in after 18 months, this time on a eb xr8…great car. That xe is still owned by glen, & its in his shed & I said I’d buy it back…nearly 30 years after i sold it to him! One day.

The xe was a much better car than the commodore…even with the odd broken door handle…more than made up in other areas…great car!
